Runbox Firefox Toolbar

The Runbox Firefox Toolbar is an extension to the Firefox browser (1.x - 2.x) that checks your Runbox account for new messages at short intervals (2 minutes), and provides other convenient shortcuts to Runbox functions.

Installation instructions

1. Click this link: Install Runbox Firefox Toolbar.
2. If you get a warning bar at the top of your screen that prevents installation, click its "Edit Options..." button. Click the "Allow" button in the dialog box that opens, and then "OK". Then click the installation link above again.
3. In the "Software Installation" dialog box that opens, confirm installation by clicking the "Install Now" button.
4. An "Extenstions" dialog box opens, stating that the Runbox Toolbar will be installed after the browser is restarted.
5. Close the "Extenstions" window and your Firefox browser windows.
6. Restart Firefox. The Runbox Toolbar will be found beneath your other toolbars when the browser window opens.

Usage

You must be logged in to Runbox for the toolbar to work. Unless you're already logged in, click the "Please login to check for new mail" button to the right in the toolbar. When the Runbox login window opens, log in with your Runbox username and password.

Functions

• The Runbox logo button to the left opens a drop-down menu with:
  • Links to important Runbox web pages
  • Options...
  • Clear History
  • Help (this page)
  • About...
• The input field is used in combination with the "Email actions Menu" drop-down button.
• Email actions drop-down menu contains:
  • Compose opens the Compose screen with the entered text inserted in To field.
  • Search (all folders) searches all folders for the entered text.
  • Add to Address Book opens the Add Contact screen with the entered text inserted in the Email field.
  • Search in Address Book searches the Address Book for the entered text.
• Empty Trash deletes all messages from your Trash folder (after confirmation).
• ... new messages displays how many new messages are found in the folders checked.

Options

Click the Runbox logo to the far left in the toolbar and click "Options...". A dialog box opens with the following options:
