Email Hosting and Enom.com

This page explains how to setup a domain hosted at Enom.com for use with email hosting. It assumes that you have registered a domain name at enom.com and have added this domain on the Email Hosting page in your runbox account.

  1. Log into your Enom account and select "My domains" in the "Domain names" menu.
  2. Select the domain name you want to use with runbox.com by clicking on the domain name.
  3. Click on "Configure" button in the "DNS Settings (Zone file)" section.
  4. Go to the "Mail Host Records Setup" section and enter "mx.runbox.com" into the Address field with the hostname "@ (none)".
  5. Make sure that no other entries with addresses other than "mx.runbox.com" exist in this section. This is important because runbox will otherwise reject your domain with an "Invalid DNS settings" error.
  6. Check that "Pref" is set to 10 (which is the default) for this entry and click on "save changes" on the bottom of the page.
  7. Done! Runbox should automatically activate your domain. Once it is activated, you can create aliases for your domain or use the CatchAll function.
